The Silver Series XLR is built on the same Type 2 Litz conductor architecture as the Silver Series RCA — 72 strands of 36 AWG silver-plated copper, carefully controlled twisted-pair geometry, and the same nylon serve and cotton serve wrap that keeps the twist consistent throughout the cable. What the XLR format adds is the noise rejection of true balanced signal transfer: common-mode interference is cancelled at the differential input of your amplifier, so what arrives is cleaner to begin with.
The result is a cable designed to combine the Silver Series' hallmark clarity, speed, and transparency with the blacker background and improved spatial presentation that balanced connectivity offers. For listeners with balanced-capable equipment, this is the natural starting point in the VaultTone lineup.
Every Silver Series XLR is hand-terminated with Furutech's FP-701M(G) male and FP-702F(G) female XLR connectors — the precision-engineered endpoints where VaultTone's conductor meets your equipment. Each connector features a one-piece α (Alpha) eutectic cast copper alloy center pin, plated in 24k gold to resist oxidation and maintain optimal contact over time. The stainless steel housing provides rigidity and non-magnetic properties, with a copper alloy end clamp for secure strain relief. Made by Furutech.
