Gold Series XLR Interconnects
Balanced Resolution. No Compromises.
The Gold Series XLR Interconnect represents the pinnacle of VaultTone's handcrafted cable design in the balanced audio format. Built for listeners with highly resolving systems who demand the last word in resolution, spatial realism, and harmonic complexity — now with the noise rejection and signal integrity of true balanced connectivity. Handcrafted in small batches at our workshop in Northern Kentucky, every pair is individually inspected before it leaves our hands.
Design Philosophy
Every VaultTone cable begins with a single objective: preserve the integrity of the musical signal while minimizing the electrical artifacts that obscure detail, texture, and realism. The Gold Series XLR achieves this through a substantially more massive Type 2 Litz conductor architecture — four times the strand count of the Silver Series — carefully controlled twisted-pair geometry, and professional-grade Neutrik terminations delivering the full benefit of balanced signal transfer at the highest level of performance VaultTone offers.

What 288 Strands Mean in a Balanced Format
The Gold Series XLR carries four times the conductor mass of the Silver Series — 288 strands of 36 AWG silver-plated copper versus 72. This is not a cosmetic upgrade. Greater conductor mass means lower resistance, improved current delivery, and the ability to resolve low-level musical information that thinner conductors simply cannot retrieve.
Now add balanced architecture on top of that. The XLR's differential signal path rejects common-mode noise at the source, so what reaches your amplifier is cleaner to begin with. The Gold Series conductor system then works on that already-clean signal — adding scale, weight, and harmonic authority that the Silver Series, for all its strengths, cannot match. In a highly resolving balanced system, the difference is not subtle. You hear it in the weight of a bass note, the air around a vocal, the decay of a piano string in a quiet room.
Neutrik XX Series Connector
The Gold Series XLR is terminated with Neutrik's NC3MXX-B and NC3FXX-B XX Series professional XLR connectors — the industry standard trusted by recording studios, broadcast facilities, and professional audio engineers worldwide. Featuring precision-machined gold-plated contacts, rugged die-cast zinc housings, a secure locking mechanism, and a strain-relief cable retention system, the XX Series delivers consistent signal transfer and long-term mechanical reliability. Made by Neutrik.
