We've spent nearly two decades building cables for other people's brands. Today, we're building them for ours.
VaultTone Audio is officially open. If you've found your way here on day one, you're the kind of listener we built this for.
Why We Started
Mike and his lead technician spent the better part of two decades at Morrow Audio, a respected name in audiophile cable design. We designed cables, refined geometries, and built products that found their way into listening rooms around the world. We know this craft from the inside — not from a spec sheet, but from thousands of hours of building, listening, and iterating.
At some point, you reach a place where you've learned enough that you want to do it your own way. That's where VaultTone came from.
What We Believe
The audiophile cable market has a trust problem. Too many brands hide behind vague philosophy and inflated claims. Others bury you in data that doesn't connect to what you actually hear. We think there's a better approach: tell you enough to understand why it works, show you the craft, and let the music do the rest.
Every VaultTone cable is built with precision Type 2 Litz conductors — silver-plated oxygen-free copper, individually insulated strand by strand, with nylon serve and cotton serve wrap to keep the twist consistent throughout the cable. We terminate with Furutech rhodium-plated RCA connectors and Neutrik XX Series XLR connectors. And every cable that leaves our studio has been individually inspected by the hands that built it.
We're not a factory. We're a small team of craftsmen who care deeply about what goes into your system — and what comes out of your speakers.
Where We Work
Our studio is inside a historic bank building in Northern Kentucky, just across the Ohio River from downtown Cincinnati. The vault door at its center — gears visible through thick glass — is more than a backdrop. It's a reminder of what we're building: something precise, something durable, something built to protect what matters.
We thought that was a pretty good metaphor for a cable company.
What's Available Today
We're launching with two lines: the Silver Series and the Gold Series — each available as RCA Interconnects, XLR Interconnects, and Speaker Cables.
If you have questions about which cable is right for your system, we're always happy to talk. Reach out anytime.
Thanks for being here on day one.
